Cookies are the number one favorite crispy biscuits among chlidren and in familly parties, spread in a lot of countries in the world, and are considered to be one of the most famous types of biscuits in the United States, and it differs from regular biscuits in several ways, as regular biscuits do not come with different flavors, and are often free of fillings and additives, while cookies may be stuffed with chocolate, oats, coconut or nuts.

Cookies with chocolate chips

Ingredients

  • Two cups and a quarter cup of flour.
  • Two eggs.
  • Two sticks of butter.
  • A teaspoon of baking powder.
  • A little pinch of salt.
  • 3/4 of a cup of brown sugar.
  • 3/4 of a cup of white sugar.
  • A dash of vanilla.
  • Two cups of chocolate pieces.
  • A cup of chopped walnuts.

How to :

  • Whisk the eggs with the butter, then add the vanilla and a pinch of salt, and beat with an electric mixer.
  • Then add the white sugar and brown sugar with continuous whisking to obtain a creamy texture, then gradually add the flour and baking powder after sieving it, while stirring with a wooden spoon; to obtain an airy texture for the dough.
  • Add chocolate and walnut pieces to the dough, and mix the ingredients well.
  • Put the cookie dough in the fridge for thirty minutes until it holds together.
  • Bring a flat tray and start rolling the dough, spread it on parchment paper, taking into account leaving a space between the pieces, then put the tray in an oven at a temperature of 175 degrees Celsius for ten minutes.
  • Leave the cookies on the tray until it cools completely on the tray, then serve it.
